Acrylic & Drape Forming at Formco Plastics

Drape Forming is a process by which a plastic sheet is heated to a desired temperature and "draped" over a mold or into a fixture. Widely used for products that require a gradual curve or bend, drape forming is the ideal process for products like windshields, guards for machines, and POP displays. We have been a leading source for drape forming for over 30+ years.

Formco has also developed a dedicated, proprietary machine which allows us to drape form with superior accuracy, many parts per shift.

As one of the pioneers in the development of tanning bed forms, Formco was able to push production on this large part to over 500 per day. With our system, we were able to eliminate secondary trimming operations on this high volume part, using cut-to-size sheets and thus dramatically saving our customer money.
