Die Cutting at Formco Plastics Die cutting is a secondary trimming operation used on flat parts or thin gauge, formed parts. Also called stamping, the sheet or part is placed in a steel rule die and using a cutting board, the part is trimmed using downward pressure from our machines. Formco utilizes 2 different machines in this process: a roller pattern cutting machine and a clicker press depending on the size and complexity of the cutouts on your part. Formco Plastics only works with experienced and highly qualified die makers to insure that your part is as accurate as it would be if it was CNC trimmed. The advantage of die cutting is simple: speed. Secondary trimming time is cut down and that saves you money.
